Landscape Design Process
Have you ever
considered having a professional landscape design done for your home but weren’t quite sure of the steps to take or
how the process works? At Varsity, we strive to make this potentially overwhelming
process as easy and customer friendly as possible. Here is a brief rundown of
the process.
Consultation - After initial contact, a consultation meeting will
occur on site to discuss the ideas and wishes of the customer. This will consist
primarily of broad concepts; a questionnaire will be filled out on site or left with the customer that will help with smaller
details and preferences. This initial meeting usually lasts around an hour, and
will consist of a discussion about the property as well as a walk-through.
Design - Once the customer decides on the type of design they would
like and their questionnaire is filled out, the design process begins. This process
is done in a quick and timely fashion, and the customer will be contacted at its completion.
Presentation - The design is then presented to the customer, usually
on site, with explanations of choices and concepts given as well as an opportunity for customer questions. This presentation will include a written estimate with price breakdowns.
Installation - Once the design is accepted, installation will begin quickly based on
schedule, weather, and availability of plant materials. You will find that Varsity
is incredibly efficient with installation. We will be in and out quickly, without
complicating your life and cluttering your home with equipment and debris.
Walk Trough - After installation is completed, a walk through will
be held on site to answer any remaining questions, provide care and maintenance information, and discuss a watering schedule.
Ongoing maintenance plans can be discussed at this time as well. We make it a priority to make sure every customer is completely
satisfied before we leave a job.

There is no job too large or too small to be designed. We can design anything from
housing developments and apartment complexes to small individual beds, such as around a deck or pond. These prices are meant
to be guidelines to pricing, however, every job is different and some factors may be in place that effect the price either
higher or lower. A price for a design will always be agreed upon before the design process begins.
*A photo enhanced image of what a home will look like after planting
is entirely conceptual and in no way should be measured against the look of the finished project. While the computer aided
software will give a good idea of what a home may look like, it shows plants in their most attractive state. For example,
if you have a design with azaleas and crape myrtles, the computer will show both in bloom when that would not happen in an
actual planted landscape. It is meant to be a tool to understand sizes, heights, and colors, not too accurately depict what
a job will look like the day of completion.
