Warranty and Restrictions for $99 Plant Installation 2010Plants to be installed for $99 must be purchased from Varsity Landscaping. This special applies only to shrubs and trees. A delivery fee may be added, at our discretion, to jobs further than 10 miles from our Starkey Rd. operation center. If a delivery fee is necessary, the amount will be agreed upon prior to the commencement of work. Soil amendments and fertilizer purchased from Varsity will be incorporated in the soil during planting. If the customer chooses not to purchase and use soil amendments and fertilizer, then the plant warranty will be void. Tree stakes and guide lines will be provided for free on 2" caliper and larger trees. Smaller trees may incur a small fee for stakes and guide lines. The customer is responsible for the proper care of the plants after installation. Watering and care instructions will be given to the customer at or near the time of installation. Failure to follow the watering and care instructions will void the warranty. All plants must have 3 inches of shredded bark mulch installed around them within 48 hours of installation to validate the warranty. Mulch is not included in the $99 plant installation special; however, we do provide this service and can make arrangements to have mulch installed in conjunction with the planting.All shrubs and trees installed have a one year replacement warranty that will cover 50% of the cost of the plant. A 100% replacement warranty is available for an additional charge. This warranty includes a one time replacement of plant stock purchased from and installed by Varsity that has been properly maintained according to Varsity's watering and care specifications. All replacements will be similar to the variety and size that was originally installed. The above warranty will not apply when plants die because of chemicals, animal damage, vandalism, fire, storms, neglect, acts of God, or by any other contingency beyond our control. There is no warranty on annuals, sod, transplanting, or seeding. Seed is guaranteed to germinate. Adjustments may be made to the estimated price due to unforeseen obstacles and/or factors such as underground utilities, rock, poor drainage situations, debris, or other things that may be found during ground breaking procedures. Varsity reserves the right to make necessary field adjustments, without notice, due to obstacles or obstructions that may hinder Varsity from performing work. Varsity will notify Miss Utility to have public utilities marked prior to performing work. Varsity is not responsible for damage to irrigation, underground dog fences, private water and sewer/septic systems, outdoor lighting systems or any other items that are subject to damage from equipment travel, edging, or ground breaking procedures. It is solely the customer's responsibility to mark such items (including but not limited to private utilities) and notify Varsity of their exact location before Varsity commences work. Customer will pay a deposit of one-third (1/3) of estimated price upon acceptance of estimate. Full payment is due at completion of work. Any claims of defect in workmanship must be submitted to Varsity within 72 hours or the claim will not be deemed valid. After 30 days from date of invoice add 2% per month. Delinquent payment voids any and all warranties and guarantees. The $99 plant installation special is to be honored solely at Varsity Landscaping's discretion. Difficult installations including but not limited to, steep slopes, and / or difficult to access areas may constitute additional fees. All fees will be agreed upon prior to the commencement of work.
